Paul A Holland , MI March 18, 2016 Broken timer knob and cables for door The knob just popped in. For the door spring/cable assembly I removed the lower (black) kick panel that is right under the door and the springs fell out since one cable was completely broken. I replaced both cables since the other had some rust evident on it. Getting the cable assemblies on the springs was a little difficult because the spring hooks were closed against the spring. Had to use pliers to lift them a bit. Hook the cable ends to the door, then make the last spring connections one at a time and done. 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
