Greg R Albuquerque , NM April 04, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator PSH23PGRABB Ge Refrigerator Psh23pgrabb: Broken water line. How to replace Cover Tank Water Coil. Disconnect power and turn off water line. Remove back panel (10 screws). Remove lower front grill (2 screws, 2 clips). Clean/vacuum all areas. Check positioning of the 2 water lines (back and underneath) for reference. One goes to the valve coupling in back. The other routes underneath to the front coupling by the left door. Remove broken line from valve coupling and door coupling (Simply push the coupling ring toward its body and pull the line out). Pull out the food shelves for clearance. Loosen the 2 screws holding the cover to the coiled line ((inside, right lower wall). Remove cover. Pull out old lines/coil through rubber gasket. Clean surrounding area. Insert new lines/coil into rubber gasket and push/pull them through until the coiled line sits correctly against the inside wall (lines feed from the bottom of the coil toward the rear). Affix cover with its 2 screws. Re-connect water lines (short line to valve, long line to door coupling at front bottom). Make sure both new water line ends are cut clean and square. Push each line into its coupling until it stops (fully seated) at about a 1/4". Re-apply power and water to check operation. Let the water run through the dispenser a bit to ensure all dirt passes through. Good. Disconnect power. Replace back panel, front grill, and inner shelves. Clean up. Return power. 5 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours
