First, I shut off the power at the circuit breaker and tested at the oven to insure that power was off. Then, I pulled the oven out about one foot from the wall. I removed the front panel, bracket, control board and raised the cooktop to expose the burned out element. I removed the wiring from the burner, two clips and two screws to remove the burner module (take note of the numbered holes that the clips and bracket are attached to). Installation was the reverse process. After pushing the oven back in place and using my iPhone, checked to insure that the cooktop was still perfectly level. I reapplied power, tested all oven functions and everything worked.
This repair cost about $85.00 but would have been over $250.00 if I had called an appliance repair man. The new element arrived within 48 hours of my order. Am happy!
