We had this GE model stove for a few years. My wife never mentioned it, but one of the burners when put on warm always seemed a little hotter than the other ones. Now it started to malfunction and was stuck on high. I ordered the switch and it arrived in a couple of days. Amazing! Now for the repair. Make sure you disconnect the stove from the power supply (outlet). Pull the control off. Now on the rear of the stove remove the screws holding the back panel on with your nut driver. Then on the front of the stove use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the switch in place. Now you can pull the switch out far enough to disconnect the electrical wires from the switch. They just pull off. Now connect wires to replacement switch. Now you can replace the 2 screws in the front of the stove and then put the back panel on. Easy repair. Took about 10 minutes. My wife said the new switch was now operating properly. The switch may have been faulty when we purchased the stove new. Excellent service from the seller on getting our part quickly.
