How to replace Refrigerator Fan Motor Grommet. Freezer compartment was silent - evaporator fan was not running. Pulled controller board and checked solder joints because of previous problems. Board okay. Used freezer compartment drawing to disassemble freezer. Pulled fan assembly. Bench-checked fan with power supply. Fan motor non-functional. Replaced fan motor and reassembled freezer. Fan was too noisy for kitchen. Replaced fan blade. Removed dust from condenser coil underneath fridge. Made a foam air filter and attached to rear air-inlet grating with 5 tie wraps. Replaced 3 40-watt incandescent bulbs with 5-watt LED bulbs. Refrigerator is running better than new. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours
