Melvin L Ballinger , TX November 21, 2017 Appliance: Model FRT045GM Compressor not starting. I had used AppliancePartsPros in the past for parts and advice to repair the pump on a washing machine. Since I was very pleased with the instructional video for the repair and the part was exactly what I needed to complete the repair I returned to AP for help. I ordered an new capacitor, overload protector, & starter PTC from the AP suggested parts list. I removed the old parts (they were definitely bad, you could hear them rattle inside) and replaced with the new parts. Plugged in the fridge and the compressor fired right up! Quick repair for under $20.00. My advice to DIYers, take lots of pictures with your phone before removing original parts. It makes the reassembly much easier and takes away all of the guess work. 4 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
