Do-It-Yourself Story

I tried looking for a solution online but nobody seemed to have a similar problem. My refrigerator would not stop running so it kept freezing everything inside. I replaced the thermostat originally but that didn't fix it. I looked at the schematic one more time and noticed there was a relay on the compressor somewhere. I took apart the housing and started googling part numbers. First one was an overload relay. That one was fine. Second one I found was attached with two pins on the side of the compressor. I pulled it off and saw online that it was a relay. I checked it with a multimeter and found that everything was stuck closed. ordered a new one from here and replaced it and everything works great.
