Unfortunately when the control panel goes it must be replaced. On the bright side it is a simple plug and play fix. One suggestion I have is to unplug the plugs from the old panel one at a time and replace them to the new panel as you go. If you unplug every plug first, you will see that there are more receptacles than plugs so you may get confused on how to set up the new panel.
