Ordered the part and it arrived promptly as expected. The broken top was easy enough to remove, just a few screws. Once the assembly is laid flat, the old can be removed from the main assembly frame. The new top is installed in its place and the entire assembly re-installed on the range. I took my time with it and still it was less than an hour. The most difficult part of the repair is protecting the floor as you slide out the range. I used a sheet of Masonite, so clearly it was not really difficult.
