After agonizing over this major repair for weeks, I finally got up the courage to attempt this delicate repair. After going online and finding the needed part, I nervously awaited the part knowing that when it came I was in for major trama. Upon arrival I immediately put all on alert and started the project. Day 1 was spent removing the old splash guard. At first I tried the adjustable wrench with little success but found solace when using the pliers. It was then when I accidentally hit the 'on' button of the garbage disposal that I needed the nut driver and wrench set to remove the flying debris from my dreadlocks. This took hours. Day 2 was spent rather uneventfully removing the splash guard from it's plastic container. I used a vice grip and hedge trimmer for this easy task. Day 3 was installation day. After first putting it in upside down, I got it out with a screwdriver. I then simply reversed it and pushed it down with a small plunger. JOB COMPLETED!!!
