One of the two door hinge cables had come apart, allowing the door to drop to the floor when opened. The replacement with a new cable was simple and effective. I purchased three of the cables ($10.87 each, total $32.61), as this is the second time I have had to do this on my LG dishwasher (four years old).
My only complaint is that I was charged $10.95 shipping for these three small (about 6" long) rope cables that were mailed in a small plastic mailer, which I think was closer to half that cost to mail. (I'll check back to see if this was included in my review )
