I watched a you tube video to make sure it was something I could do myself, my husband didn't think I could fix it. It was very easy. All it took was unscrewing the panel on the inside of the door, taking out the old one which pops right out, plug in the new one & snap it back on. Screw the panel back on. Took a few minutes & works perfectly now! If we had called someone to fix it it would have cost much more $$$. I felt so confident fixing that so easily that I then ordered a new ice maker, which arrives today, I am going to replace that too!
