I have a GE refrigerator manufactured somewhere in the 1980's.and working great. The door gasket went bad so i purchased a universal door gasket. My refer has the metal track that holds the gasket in place. My piece of advice is to take a small piece of gasket before you begin (I had plenty of extra to begin with) and check to see if it will fit properly. I ended up trimming about 3/16 maybe less off with scissors and it fit perfect, also i had read to use a certain super glue to bond the joints of gasket, don't over glue it will effect the sealing when closing. I applied to much glue and ended up sanding it down to a fine seam. Great gasket kit to install, time consuming so don't get in a hurry. 16 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours
