Gary L Sisters , OR January 28, 2017 Door latch not working properly Remove the 3 screws from the back of the top cover Pull backward about 2 inches and lift the top off Reach in and disconnect the the door latch wiring Remove the 2 screws that hold the latch to the door frame Pop the latch loose from the plastic holder on the right side by pushing it forward Replace the switch with the new one and repeat each step in reverse 5 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
