Had to unplug the washer, siphon the water out, remove the wet clothes, then detach and drain the water inlet hoses and outlet drain hose.
I walked the washer away from the wall. I used a putty knife to release the latches on the washer top, had my daughter hold the lid up while I remove the two screws that secured the front panel, and then pulled the front panel off its tabs and set aside.
I used a step ladder to lean the washer back to remove the drive belt. Then I put the washer back on the ground and removed the 3 screws securing the drain pump to the base. I stuffed towels in the washer to catch any water left in the hoses before using pliers to remove the clamps and then slid the inlet and outlet hoses off the drain pump.
Installation was reversal of removal.
