When I looked up the part number there was a handy video that popped up. I watched the video and thought "how easy!" so, I ordered that part and waited. The next day, I thought I better start to take the door off of my dryer (because that's what the video instructed, and I wanted a head start) so as I was going into the garage to get my tools, my son came in with a small package. It was the part. That came, to quote another customer, "Crazy Fast!" All the way from Kentucky to California! So I got started. My dryer door is a fold "down" door and the door in the video was like a front door. As I started taking screws out, things started to loosen up, but in the end, I could not get the door off. It did however split apart enough for me to remove the catch but not as easy as the man in the video. It looked like he used his pliers to squeeze on the "two side" parts of the catch to release. I tried and tried and tried but it didn't come out. I finally removed the metal wrap and could see that the catch also needed to be released from the top and bottom as well as the sides. So, after the metal wrap was removed I took the pliers to squeeze the "top and bottom" and it came out. (I have since gone back and re-viewed the video and he did say to unlock the sides then the top of that catch [my bad]). Then the installation of the new part was easy. After picking out the right catch (out of 3 that came) I just popped it in. The strike was also easy to put in, as that was the piece that broke so it was already out. I used the pliers to squeeze together and push into the whole. Despite what seems like all the trouble I had, it really only took about 20 minutes to do. I am happy with this purchase and the online video help I received. This place is awesome and I will use them again. Thank you.
