Redirected duct work to shorten the distance from the dryer to outside. First, added side vent on the dryer, then drilled a hole in the floor and ran the duct work under the house to the outside. This was not a "do it yourself" project for me although you could do the job yourself if you're a handyman type. I hired a handyman to run the ductwork under the house and an appliance repairman to install the side vent kit. The dryer is now drying properly.
My dryer is a new model and I was having difficulty finding the correct side vent kit. The sales person at Appliance Parts was very helpful matching the manufacturers part numbers and fortunately had the kit in stock. Because the work was scheduled to be done in four days, they shipped the kit immediately and arrived one day before the project was scheduled. Thanks guys!
