Larry T Morristown , TN January 01, 2019 Appliance: Model DLE7177RM (ACREEUS) Dryer not heating. After researching potential causes, As our dryer is 11 years old, I elected to replace the heater assembly as well as the thermostats and thermistor in order to minimize the number of dryer disassemblies needed. Disassembling the dryer was straightforward following the step-by-step repair videos for the thermistor, thermostat, and heater assembly. Testing the parts with a resistance meter indicated the high limit thermostat attached to the heater assembly was bad. I reinstalled the replacement parts and reassembled the dryer as per the repair video. I also replaced the exhaust hose after noting a potential restriction to exhaust flow, which may have caused an overheating condition and tripping of the high limit thermostat.
