Description

The Dryer Thermistor is an OEM part for LG dryers, designed to monitor and help regulate the temperature within the dryer by providing feedback to the control board about the temperature inside the drum. This allows the dryer to adjust its heat settings accordingly, preventing overheating and ensuring clothes are dried evenly and safely.

Symptoms of a bad Dryer Thermistor include:

  • Clothes not drying properly or taking longer than usual to dry.
  • The dryer repeatedly stopping during a cycle.
  • Error messages appearing on the dryer's display panel.
  • The dryer getting too hot or not heating enough.

Causes of a bad Dryer Thermistor can include a buildup of lint and debris affecting its ability to accurately sense temperature, wear and tear over time, or electrical issues within the dryer's circuitry.
