Ron M Wheeling , IL May 20, 2023 E22 and e23 The GE front loading HE washer wound paused at the rinse fill point and need manual selection of drain & spin to finish the load. Online searches told me how to get the error code. Once E22 was found online searching told me it was a water flow problem- slow fill. I removed the hoses at the washer and inspected for clogs - nothing was found. I then put the ends of the hoses in a bucket and turned on the water- strong flow. Interesting is some debris/solids came out. I’m betting over time solids from hard water build-up and eventually, they can clog the system. I replaced the hoses and flushed the water supply through the new hoses into the bucket to be sure it was free of solids. Then I went to AppliancePartspros.com, entered my washer model number (inside the door), and found the exact new replacement 2 in 1 water entry control valve assembly. I found a YouTube video that explains how to replace the valve assembly. Confirming everything I ordered the new valve. It arrived just a few days later. During its shipping, I unplugged the power, removed the top of the washer, and took pictures of the hoses and electrical connections to be sure I would put the new assembly in correctly. When the new assembly arrived it took just 10 minutes to carefully replace the old one. I needed a Philips screwdriver and a small nut driver or socket driver to remove the washer cover, and pliers to squeeze the clips that hold the hoses in place to pull them off the old assembly and put them securely on the new one. I inspected the hoses, clips, and connections to be sure all were OK. I then attached the hoses, plugged in power, turned on the water supply and ran a cycle, checking for any leaks. Perfectly Fixed - nice! I finished by replacing the top cover. 5 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
