Elizabeth S Citrus Heights , CA December 26, 2014 I was getting an f 7 error and the darn thing kept dinging at me! I ordered a new switch membrane and replaced the old one. It was very simple, and I think in the process I discovered why the prior switch membrane failed on me. There's only one connector from the membrane that goes into the "brains" of the thing, which I kept. I believe the old membrane connector got damaged when trying to shove it into it's slot, so I was quite careful this time and I hope I never need to buy a new one. First I took off the 4 knobs then took off the switch membrane. There were a few screws to undo, some were Phillips head and some need a socket wrench (10 mm I think). When I unscrewed them all and got the membrane off, I took a picture of the 3 connections inside just in case I got confused after disconnecting everything. It was quite simple to put it all back together and I didn't need the picture after all. 7 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
