The error code incorrectly indicated a faulty inverter board. The real problem was the magnetron. I only was able to figure this out because someone had thankfully posted the identical problem on this board. The magnetron can be replaced yourself but it is an involved project. You will know pretty much everything about a microwave once you are done. It is unfortunate that the manufacturer does not publish the fact that this appears to be a common problem. My microwave/over was just past the warranty period. I also want to note that the personnel at this company was extremely helpful in assisting me to solve the problem and then put everything back together.
