John B Birmingham , AL January 13, 2016 Appliance: KitchenAid 30" Built-In Microwave KBHS109SSS05 Kitchenaid Microwave Kbhs109sss05: F6e0 lost communication. How to replace Electronic Control Board. First thing is to find your breaker to the microwave and turn it off. I removed all needed screws then pulled microwave out 6in. Remove the 2 screws holding the stainless steel cover. Then 2 screws on the bracket holding the glass cover in place. Unplugged the cable connector to the glass cover. Then the 3 screws holding the electronic control board in place. Disconnect the 2 connectors. (Note; The screws where very tight from the factory. So you will to make sure not to over tighten them.) Now just replace the Electronic Control Board by reconnecting the 2 connectiors&3 screws. Reconnect the glass cover and reinstall with right side bracket&2 screws. Reinstall the stainless steel cover & 2 screws. Slide Microwave back into place and the 2 holding screws. Turn your breaker back on and you should have a working microwave and a happy wife.
