The internet is fantastic! As soon as we realized what the error code meant, we checked to see how difficult the replacement of that part might be. The do it yourself videos that we looked at were very informative and appeared to be simple. We went online for the part here at Appliance Parts Pros very late at night, ordered the part and then as promised we had it in a few days. On our GE Hot Pointe range we had to remove three different types of screws to get to the control panel versus what the videos we viewed had. To get the front to open was a very tight fit and it didn’t necessarily lay flat on our towel on the glass cooktop b/c of the wires. Regardless, they were very easy work around a to get the job done. The wires matched on the new replace my part perfectly! Great experience and saved sooooo much doing it ourselves!
