The pressure hose that runs down alongside the drum to the bottom drain had a pinhole in it. The hose and two Styrofoam pieces rest against the drum. The action of the drum over the five years that we had the washer had worn through the Styrofoam around the pressure hose and had wore a hole into it so the machine did not know what the water level was since there was a break in the pressure system. The actual repair itself was simple but the time to take the machine apart and diagnose the problem took the most time.
