I checked to make sure the evaporator coils did not have an ice build up. The compressor seemed to run normal and was not running constantly. My freezer has a high temp alarm that is supposed to go off at 23 degrees, but it never went off at temperatures above that. It seemed to me like the freezer didn't know what temperature it was actually at so I replaced the thermistor. This fixed the issue, and the freezer now gets below 0 degrees at a 4 setting (1-7).
