Philip R Staten Island , NY June 24, 2014 The freezer draw was not opening or closing properly I knew the problem was with the gears and / or the rails they ride on. You can't really tell until you take it apart. Turns out my right side track had a few damaged teeth towards the front. The door has to come off, it lifts right out from the metal slide, no tools needed for this part of the repair. Both baskets have to be lifted out. The plastic gards that go over the tops have retaining clips. Pry the old gears off off the metal slides with a sturdy flat screwdriver.The replacement gears have to go in so that the flat spots on the teeth are timed so they both meet the end of the track at the same time.
