Nathaniel C Marietta , GA April 04, 2015 Fridge would not defrost no error codes I have had the unfortunate problem of fixing this previously, so knew what to order. I ordered the defrost sensor and heater... and replaced both. Honestly, all I needed was the sensor I did and ohm test and got 0 on it... meaning it was bad, but just in case I replaced the heater. The fridge works great now, but I would suggest if this is your first time with this issue, remove the panel, unplug both sensors from the fridge, and do and ohm test while they are still in the fridge... and then replace the defective component... which is most likely just the sensor. 37 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
