Cathy W Harrisburg , AR December 06, 2016 Appliance: General Electric Free Standing Microwave SCB1001KSS01 Ge Microwave Scb1001kss01: Ge profile advantium 120 clock display erratic. How to replace Digitron. My Advantium worked fine except the clock and cooking instructions were dim and bounced in a circular pattern over the left side of the display. I tried unplugging it and once or twice that seemed to help. When I finally decided to take the control panel off I had a difficult time until I saw an old remark from a 2009 forum discussion from a guy that said there were about a dozen screws to remove to get to the control panel. That meant the entire cover had to come off! Wow! Glad I didn't break it trying to unlatch it. Then started emailing an appliancepartspro technician who sent me the technical service guide. What a great help! He thought maybe the problem was the low voltage transformer, which is the first thing to check in the troubleshooting diagram. I was able to take it out and very carefully check continuity and voltages on the primary and secondary sides. YouTube also helped me with this. It was good and I didn't waste $63 on a part I didn't need. So, I ordered the digitron display board. It was delivered in 2 days and took less than a minute to put in, since I had the microwave all tore apart. Voila! It worked! So for just under $200 I was able to fix my 11 year old Advantium oven. Oh so very happy! Would like to thank Jerry and Cindy and all the folks at appliancepartspro who answered my emails and phone calls. These "guys" really care and their customer service is fantastic! 61 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
