Unplug the dryer, shut off the supply of gas to the dryer. Replacing the igniter was the fix, I figured while I was in there to replace the thermal fuse, flame sensor and gas valve coils. It was a pretty straight forward replacement, but I set the difficulty higher due to the precautions you should to take since this is a gas dryer. Be safe!
