Having replaced heating elements in other dryers before, I assumed my lack of heat was due to a broken heating element. I've never worked on my Samsung dryer so I watched the video at AppliancePartsPros.com and easily removed my old heating element. Checked the thermal fuse as well, and it was fine. Ordered the heating element with 1 minute to spare (4:59 PM Eastern) and was able to get the element the next day–New Year's Eve. Installed the new element and it worked! Removing and re-installing the mounting bracket for the heating element was not as smooth as I hoped, but with patience, it's doable. Also expect a little bit of effort securing the element in its housing (not everything lines up perfectly, but it's really about the housing rather than the element). Wear work gloves to protect your hands from cuts!
