For 8 years, we lived with our ice dispenser working intermittently. We would push the lever 2-3 times (pushing harder and harder each time) to get ice. Finally, we had pushed it so hard that the ice door broke and it wasn't working at all. I watched videos from Appliance Parts Pros and found the parts needed to repair my ice door. However, my refrigerator wasn't quite like the ones in the videos and I searched forever online to figure out how to remove the facia of the ice dispenser area. I couldn't find anything that showed how to do that...finally chatted online with Appliance Parts Pros and they emailed me the service manual for my model. Yes! That manual had the info I needed! Once I got in there, I was able to easily install the new ice door. The video took me thru it step by step. Got it installed, put it back together and tried it...It worked again, but it still worked intermittently Went back to research the issue and found another reviewer that had this issue. I replaced the Micro switch for the ice dispenser...and YAY! Our ice dispenser works like a charm! This company is fabulous...the resources they have online to diagnose the problem, their speedy shipping, their customer service, their step-by-step videos...TOP NOTCH!
