I wanted to purchase the ice maker that was in the fridge for a plug and play repair, but it was not available and whirlpool had updated it with this kit. When you open it the box, it looks intimidating as it comes with 2 different wiring harnesses. You only use one. Total repair took about an hour and isn't difficult, but time consuming and tedious. The only mod I made was to cut the existing ground and the new harness, connected with a butt connector with heat shrink to save time. The arm threw me for a loop as comes poised in the up position, which seemed too high. The clock is set to fill the tray on startup. Don't try to move the clock. Once it cycles, the arm returned to the normal position. It's been 2 days, ice is full.and it stopped producing on its own.
