The first step was to pull the refrigerator away from the wall and disconnect power.
I had to remove a couple of shelves in order to gain access to the ice maker. The instructions indicated loosening a couple of screws and lift the icemaker out. Actually, I had to loosen the water intake hose and completely remove the screws holding down the part. The next First fstep was to remove the metal plate behind the ice maker....this plate restricted the movement of the electrical wiring harness which I needed the extra length to gain access to the wiring connector.
With a small screwdriver, carefully pry away the electrical connector from the ice maker component. This was a little tricky but once I noticed the small plastic tab holding it in place, the screwdriver was essential.
The final step is to reverse everything as above.
The only complication I had was the tight space of moving the ice maker component as well as the metal plate out of the way (had to manipulate both pieces diagonally and move away from the original position)
The water hose receptacle was different from the original. Thus, I had to use the original hose clip in order to hold the hose in place.
