Since it made ice ok, I assumed that the arm that detects the ice bucket full was not sending the correct signal to the electronics or the electronics had a problem. So I ordered the Electromechanical Icemaker kit. The plug on the delivered unit did not match the unit I was replacing and so I used the adapter cable that came with the kit; it was a little difficult finding a place to put the extra cable but it is doable. The fill cup that came with the kit had 1 side that I thought was too low to hold the water coming into the icemaker and so I glued a flat piece of plastic to that side to make the fill cup deeper. The supplied instructions were very good. The unit works great!
