Charles K Poway , CA September 18, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Washer- Horizontal Axis MAH2400AWW Maytag Washer Mah2400aww: Impellers on pump sheared off by quarters getting into drain water (maybe thru gap between drum & door?). How to replace Drain Pump Assembly (Washer). Replaced the pump. Before installing, I put a wire mesh in the inlet to the plump to keep foreign objects (quarters) out of pump assembly.
