After unplugging the dryer from the wall socket, I used a screwdriver ( Phillips ) to remove the
light cover fixture. This gave me access to the bulb which had burned out. I first use my fingers
to remove the bulb but the base came lose from the glass bulb. I then used a needle nose pliers
to remove the metal base of the bulb from the light fixture. Once the metal base was removed
I used my fingers to replace the old bulb with a new one. It screws in easily. Now I replaced the
light fixture cover with the screw I had remove at the beginning of the procedure. After plugging
the dryer back into the wall socket the new light worked with the opening and closing of the dryer
door.
