Stephen W Selden , NY April 12, 2015 Appliance: Model 795.78279.901 My kenmore fridge light was flickering and eventually went out all together it was not the light bulb I did some research online a saw this was a common problem. The part was cheap enough and looked easy to get at and fix myself. The service fee from Sears would have been $80. I ordered the part by fridge model number. I slid a hard plastic putty knife under the switch and popped it out. I used plyers to remove the switch from the wire casing. I had to bend the plastic tabs on the old piece a little to unattached it. Once off the new piece snapped right in. Works perfect. Part and shipping was under $10. My husband was so proud! 119 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
