Received Whirlpool part and installed. Needed to splice wires to the old connector, since the connectors were not compatible. I'd blame Whirlpool for this problem. But works fine. Thanks to AppliancePartsPros.com for GREAT videos, including some of those "asides" that you need to give you confidence and handle inevitable issues (for example, aligning covers correctly for reassembly).
