Janis B Ponsford , MN December 06, 2018 Appliance: KitchenAid 9-Cup Food Processor KFP740CR0 Kitchenaid Food Processor Kfp740cr0: Kitchenaid food processor wouldn't work because bowl/handle was broken couldn't make contact. How to replace Bowl. I put the bowl of my food processor in the dishwasher too many times. I wasn't aware that I shouldn't do this. Anyhow, it damaged and loosened the contact point on the handle, that secures the bowl to the unit during lock down. There was no contact, so therefore it wouldn't work. My dear hubbykins figured this out and told me to order a new bowl. I called KitchenAid and their pricing was a lot higher than Appliance Parts Pros. They suggested I buy a new Food Processor! It would have cost nearly $150. to replace. Appliance Parts Pros saved the day! With free shipping and tax we fixed our, rarely used, Food Processor for $51.33! Its a beautiful bowl! I can't believe how beat up the original one was compared to this new beauty. I will never put this crystal, clear bowl in the dishwasher. Lesson learned. Thanks Appliance Parts Pro! Shipping was surprisingly quick! Love that :) Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
