After reading several stories on websise decided that it must be the baking element in the bottom of stove. Ordered the part. My husband took the metal plate off the bottom of oven and replaced the element. We found our old element was burned through in several places. This cost us around $100. If we had to call a repairman it would have been much more. Very grateful to appliance parts and the people who leave their stories.
