The Hall-Effect sensor failed, as it did before shortly after the warranty had expired. The Lg front load washer is 11 years old with NO other issues.
Only three tools are needed. A Phillips screwdriver, a 10mm and 17mm sockets. Be extremely-careful not to drop the armature (Cover/drum)...and don't set it where is might pick-up screws or other bits of metal.
The most pleasant surprise was the part arriving the day after I'd ordered it!
