Pulled the plug for the microwave.
Gently pushed the glass portion back into the base in order to unscrew the base...did a few turns where I was able to grasp the base and remove it.
Replaced the bulb with the power disconnected.
Replaced the filter at the same time. Simply remove two screws at the top and replace the filter.
Also very pleased with the fact that the parts were shipped very quickly!
