First thing first you have to unplug your freezer! Don't want to risk getting electrocuted even if the voltage is low at the light. Pop off the front cover plate by prying a flat head screwdriver on the left and right of it. Then you get the old light out by prying the screwdriver on the top and bottom of the light. Then on the wires that hook to it you get them off by first tearing off the rubber wrapping around the ends. Then there is a little metal tab on the wires that you hold down with a screwdriver while pulling on the wire at the same time and they pop right off. Then just pop on your new light, wrap some electrical tape around the connections, push the light back in and snap the cover plate back on. Now you are good to go with a brand new bright green light to easily see your freezer is on! 6 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
