Started by replacing the belt - which was easy to do following the APP video on YouTube. Quickly learned that wasn't the problem. Took the dryer apart again and found that the issue was the glides were completely worn down on the bearing. Looked to replace just those, but saw the bearing was too worn to hold them, so got a new one as well (and a new screw as I dropped one and didn't want to take even more of the dryer apart!). Installing new glides (you need 4 of these with a new bearing) and installing it took about 5 minutes - again watching the YouTube video made it easy. While you have the dryer frame open, be sure to clean out the lint trapped around the fan - our dryer was over 15 years old and almost half the opening was covered by a 3" wide and deep pile of it. Also make sure to check the compatibility of the parts with your dryer model number.
