Max W Seguin , TX November 01, 2019 Appliance: Model GE-JVM1730DP188 Microwave handle broke Replaced it with a new one. Used a screwdriver to pry away the panel around the inside of the door glass. Unscrewed the top and bottom screws that held the handle on the door. Removed the old handle and replaced it with a new one. Used tweezers to put the bottom screw into the bottom hole. Used old screws to mount handle since the new handle didn't come with screws. Screw only went in halfway before becoming tight, but the handle was still loose. I tried to tighten them more but the heads of the screws started to strip out, so I removed them and used wood screws to secure the handle to the microwave door. 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
