No tools were needed. I removed the 4 stove top ranges with a little twist of the hands, and pulled up the old drip pans, threw them away, and replaced them with the new ones I just purchased. Then replaced the 4 stove top range burners. After time, the drip pans became brittle and began to develop holes in them. Now I have 4 brand new chrome plated drip pans once again.
