C M Nipomo , CA July 25, 2016 Appliance: Model GENERAL ELECTRIC JKP86-27 Oven didn't work Replaced controller and keypad. Does not require that oven be removed. Front panel comes out easily. The keypad had to be replaced only because the the contact traces on the two plastic ribbon cables had corroded to the point that they had disintegrated - this is a really cheap electronic connection method not really intended for replacement. Also had to enlarge all holes in keypad front panel for sheet metal screws with a drill before screws would fit. Do this before installing controller board or it's a real pain. Nut all good when done. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours
