Replaced the thermal sensor using the instructions provided with the part by splicing into the existing sensor wiring within the oven cavity using the provided high temp wire nuts, getting the new connection through the insulation and out of contact with the oven cavity and screwing the new sensor back into the oven cavity. Post repair testing indicates success!
