Matthew B Gilbert , AZ May 09, 2015 Oven would ignite sometimes Here is a suggestion for others making this repair... You don't have to remove the igniter from the gas pipe while you are bent over in the oven. You can remove the gas pipe and igniter from the oven and then replace the igniter on the counter. To do this you should remove the front and back screw on the gas pipe. Once you have taken those two out you can slowly lift the gas pipe up and disconnect the igniter. Now you can remove the gas pipe and igniter from the oven. 8 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
